Atletico Madrid are in the market for new defenders, with Mario Hermoso and Stefan Savic both set to leave in the coming weeks. Big-money moves for Robin Le Normand, Cristhian Mosquera and Piero Hincapie have all been speculated upon, although free agents are also being looked at.
One of those under consideration is Lloyd Kelly, whose departure from AFC Bournemouth was confirmed earlier this week. The 25-year-old has been heavily linked with Newcastle United, who are clear favourites for his signature, although Sky Sports (via MD) have reported that Atleti are considering a last-ditch attempt to sign him.
🚨🏴 Atlético Madrid are interested in Bournemouth center-back Lloyd Kelly, however, Newcastle are in talks to sign him; talks are at advanced stage, but still no full agreement.

Roma have also been linked with Kelly, who would be a very shrewd signing for Atletico Madrid, given the fact that he would arrive for nothing. However, it looks like that they will miss their chance, as Newcastle look primed to get a deal over the line. Still, there’s no agreement yet, so there is a still a chance if a move is made quickly.
