Xavi Hernandez could change mind on Barcelona stay depending on three conditions – report

Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez has remained adamant that he will not be changing his mind about his decision to leave the club this summer – as of now. The Blaugrana coach has consistently left the door open ajar to reconsidering, while Sporting Director Deco has left it open too, despite the fact they are seemingly looking for a new manager.

As per Sport, there is a scenario in which Xavi changes his mind on his decision though, under three conditions. First and foremost, they would have to finish the season well, playing good football, and no doubt pushing Real Madrid in La Liga and the Clasico, as well as perhaps another big Champions League victory.

Secondly, he will not go back to the club and reconsider his decision – Barcelona will have to come to him and ask him to change his mind. Thirdly, he would need clarity and guarantees on their transfer business this summer. Last year, Xavi planned the summer speaking to players such as Martin Zubimendi, but none of the four he wanted arrived, despite the club telling him it was possible.

Morale is definitely improving at Barcelona, and certainly there has been a softening towards Xavi in the press, if not an immediate jump in performance on the pitch. Recent weeks have seen an improvement, but there’s an argument to say that has come with more time on the training ground and fitter players as much as anything else.
