Luis Enrique: PSG have avoided Champions League favourites

Luis Enrique is delighted to return to Barcelona as Paris Saint-Germain were paired against them in the UEFA Champions League quarter finals.

The last eight draw pits Enrique against his old club with the chance of a semi final against either Atletico Madrid or Borussia Dortmund.

PSG are on course to retain their Ligue 1 title at the end of the campaign but the Champions League remains elusive in Paris.

Kylian Mbappe’s impending exit means the Parisians have a crucial chance to win the trophy but Barcelona stand in their way.

Despite the prospect of two huge clashes, Enrique was pragmatic over how the draw unfolded, with Real Madrid, Manchester City, Arsenal and Bayern Munich in the opposite side of it.

“PSG, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and Dortmund have to show they deserve to go further in the competition The favourites are on the other side of the draw, it’s difficult to predict what will happen”, as per quotes from Marca.

UEFA have confirmed the fixture schedule for the quarter finals with Barcelona heading to Paris on April 10 before a return clash in Catalonia six days later.
