Is there anyone Atletico Madrid want to sell?
At Atletico Madrid, there are players like Antoine Griezmann, that want to stay no matter what, and Atletico Madrid want them stay. Then there are youngsters like Pablo Barrios, Samuel Lino and Arthur Vermeeren, who Atletico are backing hard for the future, and Atletico want them to stay too.
But after that, as we were saying there are likely to be changes all over the pitch, because there are some who are out of contract, some who have finished their cycle their, in defence, in central midfield, and then we’ll have to see what happens with Memphis Depay.
As I say though, I wouldn’t close the door on anyone leaving, and there are very few players at Atletico who are sure of their future.
Arda Guler loan move gathering pace in Madrid
The idea that Arda Guler could go out on loan is gathering pace within Real Madrid. That’s how Carlo Ancelotti sees it at any rate. He thinks that in order to keep developing, perhaps it’s best for him to go out on loan, and repeat the same formula as happened with Brahim Diaz.
We’ll see if it happens, and what clubs want him, but right now, no club has taken a definitive step forward for Guler.
Barcelona’s priorities and the Joaos
The focus for Barcelona is on the next manager. That’s the priority right now. They need to identify the candidate with the right mix of character, that suits the style of play, that brings a winning mentality.
Then as we’ve commented, there will be exits in the summer, similarly to Atletico Madrid, there are plenty of players who aren’t 100% sure of their future. The priority is the manager, then depending on who comes in, we’ll see who might leave, and then there are the situations of Joao Felix and Joao Cancelo to be resolved.
Both players want to stay, but an agreement needs to be found with both City and Atletico first.
