Barcelona meet with agents of Brazilian teenage sensation Endrick

Barcelona are forging ahead with further transfer plans, with one eye cast towards the future. The future, in their eyes, goes by the name of Endrick Felipe.

The 16-year-old Palmeiras sensation has already become a well-known name on the radar of Europe’s top clubs. Barcelona and Real Madrid seem set to duel for the signature of another Brazilian wonderkid following on from Vinicius Junior and Neymar Junior.

According to Sport, this week there was a meeting with Endrick’s agents in Barcelona, after they were flown out from Sao Paulo. The purpose of the meeting was to communicate the Blaugrana’s interest and align stances in terms of plans and finances.

Endrick has not yet debuted with Palmeiras, but has made the bench. This summer he signed his first professional contract with the club, containing a supposed €32m release clause.

Barcelona’s plan is to do a deal for Endrick next summer. He would then join the club in the summer of 2024, after he turns 18.

However their main competitors at this point are not thought to be Real Madrid, but Paris Saint-Germain. The French side are intent on increasing their presence and talent recruitment in South America. Endrick is one of their targets.

  1. Its a no brainer that Endrick should be bought by us.
Also several factors talk for him prefering us.
Most important is: CL factor. Enough said on this one really.
Second: playing trident in most exciting all-Brazilian trio with Vini and Rodrygo.
Third: take a look how barcelona treated deJong and others whom they felt their salaries needed to be lowered, contract be damned.

Fourth: will there be a barcelona in a few years? Looks like their debts are getting higher while potential incomes are slimming, thanks to all fantastic “levers” media has praised them for, which in fact, are nothing but fancier word for “loan”. There are less incomes and they need to win CL this year to stay afloat. Bayern has already shown that they are ahead of them, dont forget City, RM, PSG – just of top off my head. Will Endrick agree to being paid in soda can caps?

Is there a brave boy amongst journalists to call them out on this insane strategy and point out that emperor has no clothes in this selling future for now strategy?

  2. I agree with Mc. Barcelona are a dumpster fire. It is where great players go to be tossed aside with no thought. Signed contracts are later negotiable, or else! Johan Cruyff must be turning over in his grave.
