La Liga release their new ball for the 2022/23 season

La Liga have released their new ball for the 2022/23 season.

It’s developed by Puma.

The 2021/22 season came to an end last weekend with Real Madrid crowned champions. Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and Sevilla joined them in the Champions League places.

Real Betis and Real Sociedad qualified for the Europa League while Villarreal will be the first Spanish side to play in the Europa Conference League.

Granada, Levante and Alaves were relegated.

Madrid’s season isn’t over yet, however. They face Liverpool in the Champions League final in Paris on Saturday.

La Liga clubs will then have the month of June off before returning for pre-season in July. That’s a month before the 2022/23 season gets underway.

The official start date as things stand is August 12th – it will run until the following June. That’s a month longer than usual and it’s because the World Cup in Qatar will have to be crowbarred in.
