Toni Kroos set to be passed fit for Real Madrid’s Champions League date with Paris Saint-Germain

Everything indicates that Toni Kroos will be fit and available for selection tomorrow night when Real Madrid welcome Paris Saint-Germain to the Santiago Bernabeu in the Champions League.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who report that the German trained with the group in Madrid’s training session this morning. Should things continue as they have been, he, Carlo Ancelotti and the club’s medical team will clear that he can make the squad.

Kroos was injured during training last Tuesday after straining the hamstring muscle in his left leg. He’s done everything to get himself right in the meantime and although he missed Saturday’s defeat of Real Sociedad it looks like he’s going to recover in time.

The German is a key part of Ancelotti’s midfield and his importance is heightened by the fact that Casemiro is suspended for the tie. If he’s fit to partner Luka Modric in midfield it’ll have to be decided whether Eduardo Camavinga or Fede Valverde steps up to the plate to serve as the third man in a really crucial tie.
