Nothing has changed with Kylian Mbappe according to Marca. The Frenchman still wants to play for Real Madrid and his plan is the same as it always has been despite the pressure being placed upon him by Paris Saint-Germain to renew his contract.
Despite the noise surrounding the 23-year-old he’s been superb all season, impressing Mauricio Pochettino and his teammates. After a difficult summer with the French national team he’s emerged to become PSG’s undisputed key performer despite the presence of Lionel Messi and Neymar Junior beside him.
The dressing room at the Parc des Princes is understood to have accepted that Mbappe will be off to the Santiago Bernabeu once his contract expires at the end of this season. But they also know that his eyes are trained firmly on the prize; all of Mbappe’s energy and focus is concentrated on winning the Champions League this season and knocking Madrid out of the last 16.
Because that’s the next game he’l play. He’s suspended for their upcoming Ligue 1 clash with Nice so the next time he wears PSG’s colours it’ll be at a sell-out Santiago Bernabeu for the second leg of their Champions League last 16 tie. The stage is set.
