Real Madrid midfielder Isco has reportedly agreed to join a direct rival in the summer

Real Madrid midfielder Isco has agreed to join Sevilla according to a report by Caught Offside. The Andalusian’s contract at the Santiago Bernabeu is set to expire at the end of this season and it looks almost certain that he’s set to move on to pastures new.

And Sevilla are a good fit. Isco has worked with their coach, Julen Lopetegui, twice before; first with the Spanish national team in the buildup to the 2018 World Cup in Russia and then during Lopetegui’s brief stint in charge of Madrid the following season.

He knows the playmaker well, and Sevilla are a club going places. They’re currently embroiled in a title battle with Madrid, sitting six points behind them in La Liga, and are set for a Europa League last 16 clash with West Ham United.

Isco, 29, has earned 38 caps for Spain and scored 12 goals. He’s made 350 appearances for Madrid since joining them in 2013 from Malaga. He’s provided 53 goals and 56 assists in that time.
