Barcelona interim boss Sergi Barjuan issues update on Sergio Aguero

Barcelona interim boss Sergi Barjuan says Sergio Aguero is ‘relaxed’ after suffering discomfort in his chest over the weekend.

Aguero only recently returned from injury, forced to wait months for his Barcelona debut following his free transfer from Manchester City over the summer.

But the Argentine suffered serious blow on Saturday evening during Barcelona’s 1-1 draw with Alaves.

Just 41 minutes into the clash, Aguero had to come off after complaining of discomfort in his chest, and reports since suggest he has an irregular heartbeat.

At this point, it is unclear what that means for his football career, with the diagnoses sometimes carrying serious consequences.

But as he waits to find out what happens next and – most importantly – recovers, Aguero is said to be ‘relaxed’.

Barcelona interim boss Barjuan said in his latest press conference: “Yesterday I spoke with Kun and he is relaxed. He is locked in his room, but relaxed.”

Aguero won’t play against Dynamo Kyiv in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
