Barcelona manager Quique Setien has criticised referee Guillermo Fernandez following their vital 2-1 La Liga win over Getafe.
The defending Spanish champions were subjected to some physical challenges from Jose Bordalas’ side at the Camp Nou, and the former Real Betis boss felt more should have been done to protect his side.
“At full time they had made 29 fouls, but we have ended up with one more yellow card then them,” he told a post match interview with Marca.
“We have made 12 fouls and received three, I think this is wrong.”
“I would like to know the referee’s reason for this.”
Setien also played down a lack of handshake between him and opposite number Bordalas before kick off.
“I want to talk about what happened on the pitch, that is where football is played.”
“We were nervous at the start, and Getafe made it very difficult for us with their press.”
First half goals from Antoine Griezmann and Sergi Roberto secured a vital win for the Catalan side, as they look to chase down rivals Real Madrid in the La Liga title race.
However, the game ended on a negative for Barcelona, with the news that full back Jordi Alba is set for another spell out injured, after being taken off after just 22 minutes.
But centre back Samuel Umtiti is expected to be OK, after suffering a minor injury in the first hal.
