Getafe manager Jose Bordalas has criticised Barcelona for second half time wasting in their 2-1 La Liga defeat at the Camp Nou.
Goals from Antoine Griezmann and Sergi Roberto secured a vital win for Quique Setien’s side, while Getafe’s winning run comes to an end at four games.
The side from South Madrid remain third in the La Liga table, but Bordalas was unhappy Barcelona’s second half tactics.
“We have lost this game because of eight minutes of inspiration from the best player in the world, Leo Messi,” he told reporters from Marca.
“This disallowed goal in the first half hurt us, but we must not forget that we are a small team.”
“We played well and it is a shame not to get a more positive result.”
“Barcelona were not interested in winning by more goals, as they slowed the game down at the end, and wasted time.”
“That was their tactic at the end.”
Bordalas declined to comment on Getafe’s push for a Top Four finish, and Champions League football, insisting that he was only focused on the games coming up.
His side face a crucial run of games in the coming weeks, with a Europa League last 32 double header against Eredivisie giants Ajax, and La Liga games against Sevilla and Real Mallorca.
