Barcelona’s Antoine Griezmann rues missed chances in Real Sociedad draw

Barcelona star Antoine Griezmann was left frustrated at his side's finishing as they were held to a 2-2 draw away at Real Sociedad.

Ernesto Valverde's side have now handed Real Madrid a La Liga title boost ahead of next week's El Clasico showdown, and the French international believes they had chances to win the game at the Anoeta.

Griezmann scored Barcelona's first goal, against his former side, but highlighted second half wastefulness as the main reason for the result.

"Both teams had their moments to score," he told reports from Marca at full time.

"It has ended as a draw, which is frustrating."

"We had chances to score a third goal in the second half, and we did not, and that is disappointing."

Griezmann conceded that the changes made by Sociedad manager Imanol Alguacil helped the hosts in the closing stages, as they continued to carry a goal threat.

However he insisted that the players would not be concentrating on the result, and their sole focus is now preparing for the visit of Zinedine Zidane's side on December 18.
