Barcelona want Dinamo Zagreb forward Bruno Petkovic

Barcelona are monitoring a move for Dinamo Zagreb forward and Croatia international Bruno Petkovic, reports Marca.

The 25-year-old has netted five goals in eight caps for the Croatian national team and the report claims Barca sporting director Eric Abidal spent the weekend watching the forward.

Petkovic spent five year in Italian football but failed to make much of an impact, failing to score in 37 Serie A appearances across Bologna and Hellas Verona.

However, the Croatian has gone on to be much more prolific for Dinamo Zagreb – for whom he has netted 21 times since signing for the club in the summer of 2018.

It is claimed that several of Europe’s leading clubs are monitoring Petkovic’s progress following a prolific year for both clubs and country, of which the Blaugrana are one.

The forward previously had spells at Catania, Varese, Reggiana, Virus Entella and Trapani in the lower divisions of Italian football.
