Luis Enrique linked with Arsenal job

Former Barcelona and Spain boss Luis Enrique has been linked with shock move to take over as Arsenal manager in the coming weeks.

Enrique stepped away from his role as national team boss earlier this season, following the tragic death of his young daughter, however according to reports in El Confidencial – via the Metro – he is now being lined up for a Premier League move.

Current Arsenal boss Unai Emery is under growing pressure, and despite the former Sevilla boss claiming his position is unchanged in North London, rumours are growing that could be set for a swift exit.

The Gunners have also been linked with a move for former Real Madrid and Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho, but according to this report, sporting director Raul Sanllehi has highlighted Enrique as the man he wants.

Enrique, who won two La Liga titles and a Champions League whilst in charge at the Camp Nou, was widely rumoured to be on Arsenal's shortlist to replace Arsene Wenger in 2018 – but the club opted to bring in Emery following his departure from Paris Saint-Germain,
