Barcelona skipper Lionel Messi has revealed how experience has developed his game in recent seasons.

The 32-year old has taken advantage of the El Clasico postponement, to do an in depth interview with Argentinian TV station TyC Sports about his career to date.

Alongside touching on his career with the Argentina national side, Messi has also explained how his game has developed as he entered his thirties.

"I have grown up, and now I can read the game better.

"I know when to become involved, and how to be effective at the right time.

"There are times in games when I do not need to be involved, but if  spend too much time without the ball I can leave a game.

"I enjoy arriving into the box and scoring, but I don't live for scoring goals."

Messi has endured an injury disrupted start to the 2019-20 seasons, but he has still managed to score three goals in five starts in La Liga and Champions League action.
