Lionel Messi has returned to FC Barcelona training after six weeks out of action with a thigh problem.
The club captain returned to pre-season late, after manager Ernesto Valverde granted him an additional break following the Copa America.
However a persistent issue with his fitness has delayed his start to the La Liga, with the 31-year old missing the first four games of the 2019-20 season.
Valverde has now confirmed that the Argentina international has returned to full training, and will be included in the travelling squad to face Borussia Dortmund in their midweek the Champions League.
However he is unlikely to play against the Bundesliga side, with Valverde likely to keep faith with Luis Suarez, Antoine Griezmann and teenage star Ansu Fati.
