Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone believes the La Liga transfer window should close before the start of the season.
The 2019-20 summer window remains open for La Liga clubs until September 2nd, despite the season kicking off on August 16, and the Argentinian wants that to change.
"I think all La Liga managers would love it to be changed to how it is now in England.
"I'm sure most managers will have built the squad they want to work with before the first game of the season.
"It would be mentally healthier for all involved if the window was closed and everyone was focused on they guys who will play.
"Now we have to wait until September 2nd, and there could be changes."
Simeone declined to comment on Atletico's move for Valencia CF striker Rodrigo Moreno, after his current boss Marcelino claimed the deal was now off the table.
Los Rojiblancos are expected to see more outgoings than new arrivals before the window shuts, with Angel Correa set to complete a move to AC Milan in the coming weeks.
