Tottenham are negotiating a loan deal for Barcelona playmaker Philippe Coutinho but two more Premier League clubs are interested, say reports.
Catalan radio station RAC1 claims the North London club are one of three English clubs – of which the other two are unnamed – although Arsenal have been ruled out as a candidate.
With Chelsea under a FIFA-wide transfer ban, it is likely that the other two sides are either Manchester United, Manchester City or Liverpool.
The Brazil international has cut a frustrated figure for the Catalan club this season, finding starting opportunities limited at the club and struggling to find consistent form.
The Brazilian only joined the Camp Nou in January 2018 for a deal worth up to €160m but it now appears the Blaugrana are willing to cut their losses on the player.
Earlier this month, Coutinho told reporters: “I have a contract with Barcelona, it was always my will to succeed in this club, but now I am totally concentrated here (with Brazil) and about the future (with Barca) we do not know what will happen.
“Many things that come out in the media are simply not true but as for my future we do not know what is going to happen, that is the truth.
“It's clear that the arrival of big names is always good for a squad that wants to win.”
Paris Saint-Germain are said to be an admirer of the former Inter and Liverpool man but again their financial situation is precarious and may need to make sales before considering big-money moves – Neymar would need to leave before his Brazil teammate is considered.
