FC Barcelona are considering offering Lionel Messi a new contract – to end his career in at the club.
The Argentinian international is under contract at the Camp Nou until 2021, and there is no rush from either side to enter into talks on a new deal until he enters the final 12 months of his deal.
However, according to reports in Catalan newspaper Mundo Deportivo, the La Liga champions are set to offer the 30-year old an open ended extension to ensure he ends his career at the club.
Messi's representatives are reportedly looking to ensure the contract stretches until at least 2023, however the club are open allowing Messi to decide how long he wants to extend until.
