Bayern Munich are considering a move to sign Celta Vigo winger Brais Mendez in a €25m deal, according to reports.
El Desmarque cite German journalist Christian Falk as report in Sport Bild that the Bavarian club are considering activating the clause of the Spain international, whose contract in Vigo expires in June 2021.
It has actually been claimed that Celta have offered the player to the German champions as they wish to raise funds following the arrivals of Denis Suarez and Santi Mina – who have returned to the club from Barcelona and Valencia respectively.
“I don't know anything,” Mendez responded on Radio Marca.
“I'm very calm because I've been here a long time and I feel like there's no better place to be.”
A versatile midfielder who can play on either flank, Mendez only made his Celta debut in the 2017/18 season but is already a fixture in the team and earnt his first Spain call-up last campaign.
He debuted for La Roja and scored the winner in Sunday’s 1-0 win over Bosnia, once again strengthening his name and has previously been linked with a move to Leicester.
