Barcelona are close to reaching an agreement for young Santos playmaker Tailson Pinto Goncalves, according to Diario Sport.
The 20-year-old is set to join the Catalan giants on a three-year contract and is coming to the end of his current deal with the Brazilian outfit, meaning that he will move on a free transfer.
The report adds that “the negotiation is very advanced and it is expected that Tailson will arrive shortly to join Barcelona’s B side.”
Scouts from the Blaugrana were said to be impressed by Tailson during the Copinha competition – a tournament in which the young figures of Brazilian football are showcased.
Several European clubs were reported to have been interested in his situation and whilst Santos made attempts to renew his contract, Barca are said to have moved faster to secure his future.
The technically adept playmaker is said by the report to be “a good dribbler, with great vision of the game and a finisher,” with an official announcement expected soon.
