Arsenal are preparing a bid for Real Madrid midfielder Lucas Vazquez, according to reports in Diario AS.
The Spanish international has been widely rumoured to be one of the names on Zinedine Zidane's list of players that can be sold to raise funds for further transfers, and the Premier League side are keen.
Real Madrid have already spent in excess of €250m in purchases so far, ahead of the 2019-20 season, with Eden Hazard and Luka Jovic, joining Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema and Vinicius Junior in their attack.
That has pushed Vazquez further down the pecking order at the Santiago Bernabeu, with Arsenal ready to offer €35m for the 28-year old.
The report claims that interest from Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich and Inter Milan has not been supported with a formal bid, allowing Arsenal – Vazquez's rumoured favoured destination – to gain an advantage.
The Premier League transfer window closes on August 8, ahead of the new season, and Unai Emery will be hopeful of sealing a deal before the end of July.
