La Liga to make major investment in Women’s Football

La Liga are set to invest in excess of €20m in Women's Football ahead of the 2019-20 season.

According to reports in Marca this weekend, Spanish FA General Secretary Andreu Camps confirmed forthcoming plans to broadcast every league game next season, either on a designated TV channel or online.

There is also a plan in place to live broadcast three games from the Segunda Division each week.

The organisation's director for Women's Football, Inaki Mikeo, also confirmed a change in the league structure for the 2019-20 season, due to an increase in the number of teams competing.

The Primera Division Pro will become the new top flight, with the Segunda Division Pro established as the new second tier, and the current Segunda Division will become the newly created third level Primera Nacional.
