Sevilla CF ponder Simon Kjaer departure

Sevilla CF are considering selling club captain Simon Kjaer back to Turkish side Fenerbache.

According to reports in Marca this weekend, new boss Julen Lopetegui has already compiled a list of potential departures form the club this summer, and Danish international Kjaer, is amongst them.

The 30-year old moved from the Turkish giants to the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan at the start of the 2017-18 campaign, and despite being given the captaincy, injuries have prevented him from being a regular starter.

Lopetegui is apparently now willing to cash in on the experienced centre back, as he looks to put his mark on the time after taking over their reins from caretaker boss Joaquin Caparros at the end of May 2019.

Diego Carlos has already arrived at the club from Ligue 1 side Nantes, to provide competition in central defence, with Sergi Gomez potentially following Gabriel Mercado out the door, after he joined Qatari side Al-Rayyan.
