Alvaro Morata’s home targeted by thieves

Atletico Madrid forward Alvaro Morata's house was targeted by robbers this weekend, with his young family inside.

Morata, 26, who was away on international duty with Spain in the Faroe Islands when the incident occurred at their home in the La Moraleja area of north Madrid in the evening of June 7.

Spanish Police confirmed that Morata's wife Alice Campello, their two children and the family's nanny were left shaken by the break in, but no one was injured during the raid. 

The robbers stole a number of items of value, although official list has been released by either Morata or the authorities on what exactly was stolen in the incident. 

Morata declined to comment on the theft, although he has been granted additional time off to return home from the national team camp, as they prepare for the UEFA Euro 2020 qualifier against Sweden on June 10 at the Santiago Bernabeu.
