Ajax winger David Neres is at the top of Atletico Madrid’s wanted list this summer, according to a report in Diario AS.
The 22-year-old is set to represent Brazil at this summer’s Copa America but is said to be the priority for Diego Simeone, who wants to bolster his squad.
Atleti are said to be aware that the winger’s asking price will be significant due to his strong showing with Ajax in the Champions League this season and success at international level.
It is said that there are a host of clubs in for the former Sao Paulo winger, who joined the Amsterdam-based club in 2016, including from the Premier League and Serie A.
A host of players are leaving Atleti this summer – the exits of Lucas Hernandez, Diego Godin, Antoine Griezmann and Juanfran Torres have all been confirmed.
Meanwhile Filipe Luis is also set to depart at the end of his contract while full-back Santiago Arias has also been linked to a summer departure, along with midfielders Rodri and Thomas Partey.
