Future Real Madrid forward Rodrygo Goes admits he ‘must evolve’ before joining the outgoing European champions in a switch from Santos.
The 18-year-old has starred with Santos in his native Brazil but is due to join Madrid this year after the two club’s struck a €45m deal in 2018.
“I must evolve my game to be at the level of the biggest club in the world,” Rodrygo told an interview with Marca.
“It is sad for me to leave home and to leave Santos, I am already missing it in my head but someday in the future you never know if I will return home or not.
“Until I leave the club I am going to give everything to ensure they stay at the top of the table because the club means a lot to me and have given me so much.
“Jorge Sampaoli is a Coach who has given me a lot of advice on my move, he is someone with a lot of experience in Europe and he has been very helpful for me.”
