Real Madrid tell Keylor Navas he is not in their plans

Real Madrid have informed goalkeeper Keylor Navas that he does not feature in their plans beyond this summer, say reports in Spain.

Diario AS cite a report from Spanish TV station La Sexta that Navas will bid farewell to the club and its fans during the home game against Real Betis on Sunday – the last of the campaign.

The Costa Rican has been behind Thibaut Courtois in the pecking order for the majority of the season while Luca Zidane, son of Zinedine, has also been selected ahead of the Costa Rican.

The 32-year-old has started just nine La Liga matches this campaign although six of them have arrived since Zinedine Zidane returned in March.

PSG, Manchester United and Porto have both been linked with a move to the former Levante shot-stopper with all three said to be on the lookout for a reinforcement in that area.

However, Cadena Cope have argued that Navas still wishes to remain at Los Blancos beyond this summer and fight for his first-team spot going forwards.

The shot-stopper is under contract in Madrid until the summer of 2020 meaning that the club may decide to cash in on him this summer.
