Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets is confident that the club's record of eight La Liga titles in 11 seasons will never be broken.
La Blaugrana confirmed back to back titles with a 1-0 win at home to Levante this weekend, and the Spanish international feels it is deserved reward for an excellent season.
"It is always tough to win a league title, and it was tough against Levante, but we are pleased to have closed it out now.
"I do think it will be difficult for anyone to win eight out of 11 again.
"La Liga has the best teams, that fight for European trophies and it is always difficult to win.
"What we have done is historic."
The 30-year old confirmed that title celebrations would be put on hold ahead of a huge Champions League semi final first leg against Liverpool in midweek.
"Now we focus on the Champions League, and we are pleased to have wrapped the league up.
"If we had not won it this weekend, it would have added more difficultly to the Liverpool game."
