Zinedine Zidane non-committal on Gareth Bale future at Real Madrid

Zinedine Zidane remained non-committal on Gareth Bale’s future at Real Madrid but admitted players will have to be sold this summer.

The 29-year-old has been the subject of intense speculation that he may leave the Santiago Bernabeu this summer.

Madrid are said to be intent on selling the Welshman this summer but a buying club has not yet been found.

“We have 25 players at the moment so when we sign players, others might leave,” Zidane told reporters when quizzed about the futures of players, with Bale’s name mentioned.

“Our goalkeeping situation? Courtois is ready to return for us he has trained and is available for selection for sure.

“I cannot tell you if he will start or not, or who will play in the next five games but in the summer the situation will become clearer, we will see what happens.

“All of our goalkeepers have contracts but eventually the situation will become very clear, if it is not now.

“What I would like to happen is not always what does happen.”
