Real Madrid did not sign Eder Militao by accident – Alisson Becker

Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker has explained ‘it is no coincide’ that Real Madrid have signed FC Porto defender Eder Militao.

The 21-year-old will join the outgoing European champions this summer after they triggered his €50m release clause at the Portuguese giants.

The Brazilian only joined Porto this summer from Sao Paulo and has featured in 40 matches for the club, with his performances catching the eye of many of Europe’s leading clubs.

The versatile defender is primarily a right-back but is equally comfortable playing in the centre of defence or in a deep-lying midfield role.

“He's a player with great potential, it's no accident that Real Madrid have signed him and it's no coincidence that played the game (against Liverpool) that he has done,” Alisson told reporters, as cited by El Espanol.

“I am happy to have his help in the Brazilian team.”
