Real Madrid Vinicius Junior has said of boss Zinedine Zidane: “When someone with that level of authority speaks, then you listen.”
The Brazilian teenager has not yet played under the Frenchman – who returned to the club last month – due to returning from a torn ankle ligament injury.
“When someone with that level of authority speaks, then you listen,” Vinicius told Globo Esporte, as cited by Diario AS.
“He has played at the highest level and won everything as a Coach, so you are a little anxious when you go to speak to him but he is fantastic.
“I know that he gives opportunities in the first team to all players and I am confident that when I return (to full fitness) I will have my chance too.
“Playing in the Copa America? I am preparing for this, I am training hard and hopefully I can play the final few games this season for Madrid, then be called up by the national team.
“My dream is to play for my nation but if I’m not, I will be supporting them away form the pitch.”
