Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos has blasted a report in Diario AS that he may be leaving the club this summer as ‘absolutely false information’.
The 29-year-old has been a fixture in Madrid’s first-team since the summer of 2014 and he has won three Champions League titles and the 2017 La Liga crown with that club.
The report claimed his departure could hasten a deal for Paul Pogba or Christian Eriksen, who the report claims ‘are both to (Zinedine) Zidane’s taste’.
The German international has been criticised for his performance level this season with the report stating that it has been ‘comfortably his weakest’ in his five campaigns at Los Blancos.
Kroos has scored 13 goals across 228 appearances for Madrid and does not appear to be going anywhere this summer.
