Keylor Navas should leave Real Madrid this summer for the sake of his ‘sporting future’, claims Costa Rica Coach Gustavo Matosas.
Navas has been behind Thibaut Courtois in the pecking order for the majority of the season while Luca Zidane, son of Zinedine, was selected ahead of him against Huesca recently.
“I want Keylor to be happy and when he is not playing, this is a tough time,” Matosas has said.
“He is a great goalkeeper and nobody understand why he is not playing, he has won three Champions League titles and deserves to be a starter.
“The national team needs him to be happy and I know that, as a smart guy, he will make the best decision for his sporting future.”
Navas joined Madrid from Levante in the summer of 2014 and had been a fixture in the first-team between 2015 and 2018.
