Atletico Madrid want Napoli forward Lorenzo Insigne

Atletico Madrid are interested in signing Napoli forward Lorenzo Insigne but have been put off a deal due to his asking price, according to reports.

The Partenopei are said to be demanding €100m for the Italian international although his agent Mino Raiola is said to be hopeful of reducing this to €80m.

Diario AS have followed up on reports in the Italian media from Il Mattino and Corriere dello Sport that Atleti have been monitoring the forward with the hope of a future deal.

The 27-year-old is Napoli’s captain and has netted 76 goals across 297 appearances in the first-team squad, while he has also been capped 30 times by the Italian national team.

Inter striker Mauro Icardi and Eintracht Frankfurt’s Luka Jovic have also been linked to Atleti.
