Gerard Pique will miss next weekend's clash with bottom of the table Huesca after picking up his fifth La Liga booking of the season in the 2-0 win over Atletico Madrid on Saturday.
The experienced defender has been a key figure for Ernesto Valverde's side this season, playing in 30 of their 31 La Liga games so far in 2018-19, and he is expected to start in the midweek Champions League trip to Manchester United.
With Barcelona now 11 points clear at the top of the table, the former Athletic Bilbao boss may opt to rest the 32 year-old more between now and the end of the campaign, to keep him fresh for European games.
French international Samuel Umtiti is set to fill in for Pique, alongside his international colleague Clement Lenglet or Thomas Vermaelen, should Lenglet also be rested.
