Keylor Navas: If Zinedine Zidane tells me to leave Real Madrid, I will

Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas has admitted he will leave the club if requested but reminded reporters: “I have a contract here.”

The Costa Rican was speaking after Wednesday’s 2-1 defeat at Valencia, in which he started, with his current deal at Los Blancos now entering it’s final 15 months.

“If the Coach tells me to leave then I will leave, but I have a contract with Real Madrid and this is my club,” Navas told reporters, as cited by Marca.

“I will always work hard and try to show that I am deserving of my place in the side, but now I must focus on the remaining eight matches of the season and bringing good results for our honour.

“This has been a difficult season that has not gone as we had hoped but everyone at Real Madrid must pull together to improve our situation.”

Navas has been behind Thibaut Courtois in the pecking order for the majority of the season while Luca Zidane, son of Zinedine, was selected ahead of him against Huesca on Saturday.
