Former Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has spoken of his admiration for Zinedine Zidane: “He can manage the squad intelligently.”
Zidane returned as Madrid boss last month while Ronaldo – who left Los Blancos to join Juventus in a €100m deal last summer – praised the man-management skills of the Coach with whom he won three consecutive Champions League titles.
“Zidane can manage the squad intelligently,” Ronaldo told RMC Sport’s 'Zidane, Realement Madrid' documentary programme, to be aired on Wednesday.
“At Madrid every player wants to play every game so from a managerial position, it is not easy to delegate all these decisions and make the calls.
“He knows how to handle this with a lot of thought and knows how to manage the squad.”
