Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez has been called up to the Spain squad for the Euro 2020 qualifiers following an injury to Fabian Ruiz.
The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) tweeted on Monday evening that Fabian would be replaced due to sustaining a fever by the Atleti midfielder.
It comes as a blow for the Napoli midfielder Ruiz, 22, who had received his first-ever call-up to the Roja set-up for their upcoming Euro 2020 qualifiers against Norway and Malta.
Saul now has an opportunity to add to his 15 caps for La Roja.
