Zinedine Zidane: Isco, Marcelo ready to play for Real Madrid

Returning Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has reiterated Isco and Marcelo are both ‘ready to play’ in the first-team.

Both players were sidelined by the Frenchman’s predecessor Santiago Solari, while Zidane also gave an indication that he has no problem with out-of-form forward Gareth Bale.

“Isco and Marcelo are both ready to play, they want to play and we will see them play,” Zidane told reporters, as cited by El Mundo Deportivo.

“Marcelo has not played much, that is true, but he is a professional and he has been very good in season.

“We have to respect everything the previous Coach did but Marcelo in my eyes is happy and eager to play, so I am happy with this.

“I do not want to discuss the individual season of Gareth Bale but in these 11 remaining games I will count on him as I do with everyone, and like the others he is ready to play.

“I am now focused on finishing the season well, I am not concerned about which players will continue with us or others who have come in, we need to focus on results.

“We want to think positively and defeat Celta tomorrow, I do not want to think about anything else but the players are keen to show what they are worth.

“Kylian Mbappe? I won’t discuss a player who is not mine.”
