Jorge Mendes, the agent of Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo, has claimed Real Madrid would not have won their Champions League titles without his client.
The Portuguese star netted a hat-trick in Juve’s Champions League Round of 16 victory over Atletico Madrid and is hoping for a fifth title in the competition in six seasons.
“Cristiano is the best player in the history of football and he has shown it again,” Mendes told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“He is an alien and he been incredible in England, incredible in Spain and incredible in Italy – he was the best player in Real Madrid’s history and they would not have won what they did without him.
“Ronaldo won four Champions League titles in five years there, and now he is making history at Juventus.”
