Barcelona striker Luis Suarez has allayed concerns on his goalscoring record in the Champions League after drawing another blank against Lyon.
The Uruguayan was not among the scorers in Wednesday’s 5-1 victory – meaning he has not found the net in six Champions League appearances this season and has just one goal in his last 18 games in the competition.
“As a striker you live for goals, but the most important thing is the team’s qualification,” Suarez told reporters, as cited by Marca.
“It is important for me to score but I know it will come and I am not disheartened by this run, I will keep trying my luck and things will change.
“The penalty? I was left unbalanced by accidentally standing on the defender, but the decision is in the hands of the referee.”
