Zinedine Zidane salary at Real Madrid half of Diego Simeone

Zinedine Zidane will earn a fixed annual salary of €12m at Real Madrid, which is exactly half that of Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone.

El Confidencial have outlined the details of the Frenchman’s return to the European champions, which has seen him sign a contract until 2022.

The report claims the 46-year-old’s previous deal at Madrid had seen him earn around €7.5m per season, with add-ons this time included which are based on on-field success.

Simeone is the best paid Coach in the world while Jose Mourinho – who was also heavily linked with a return to Madrid – was paid €20m annually at Manchester United.

The report also cites Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino at €10m, with Jurgen Klopp on €8.5m at Liverpool and Juventus Coach Max Allegri earning €8m.
