Jose Mourinho has claimed that the Real Madrid players are suffering from a crisis of confidence after a poor run of recent results.
The 52 year-old has been linked with a return to the club were had as spell as mananger between 2010 and 2013, with current boss Santiago Solari potentially being dismissed in the summer.
Back to back defeats to Barcelona and a home loss to Ajax has seen Los Blancos dumped out of the Copa del Rey and the Champions League, in the space of two weeks, and Mourinho believes that the players are clearly struggling.
"It (the Ajax game) was not a happy performance, from a happy team, he told BeIn Sports
"It was not the performance of a team with great belief or self-esteem.
"Clearly they are at a low point after these bad results and they are struggling to create the tempo they need to in games."
