Santiago Solari quipped that Real Madrid have ‘more suitors than Julia Roberts’ following Jose Mourinho’s comments about a possible return to the club.
Mourinho has talked up a future return to Madrid by stating he would have ‘no issues’ returning to his former club, whom he managed between 2010 and 2013.
“At this club we have more suitors than Julia Roberts,” joked Solari when quizzed about Mourinho.
“So you would need to ask her (about which Coach the club would choose) and it is a pertinent question, but it is not for me.
“The Champions League? Of course we are aiming to win it, this is the competition where we have excelled in recent years and it is an opportunity for us to show our character.
“Cristiano Ronaldo? We have spoken about him too much already, he is an incredible part of the history of this club but not in the present, he is not part of my team.
“Of course we all look to improve aspects of our attack and score more goals.”
