Suspensions mean Sergio Ramos will play just one game in three weeks

Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos will play just one game in the next three weeks of action, due to a spate of suspensions for the experienced defender.

Ramos has receieved an additional Champions League ban from UEFA in midweek, following his comments after their 2-1 win away at Ajax earlier this month.

The 32 year-old picked up a late yellow card in that game, ruling him out of the second leg. However his comments after the game, indicating that he purposely got himself booked, have earned a extra game suspension.

A yellow card against Barcelona on Saturday night is his fifth La Liga booking of the season, meaning he will miss Real Madrid's trip to Real Valladolid next weekend, after missing last week's win at Levante, after a red card the week before.

Ramos' next game for Real Madrid is set to be the La Liga home tie against Celta Vigo on March 16th, which will be followed a international break.
