Gareth Bale has received the continued backing of his manager Santiago Solari – after the Welshman has come in for criticism in recent weeks.
The former Tottenham man has started just two La Liga games in 2019 due to injury, and his future at the club has been the subject of widespread speculation.
Despite reports of Bale being unhappy with his treatment by supporters, Solari has reiterated his faith in the impact he can have in the remaining weeks of the season.
"He is important.
"Bale has played in every game since he returned from injury – and he has scored goals.
"It is not always about those who start games, as title are won by full squads."
