De Jong: Sergio Ramos might regret booking decision

New Barcelona midfielder Frenkie De Jong believes Real Madrid skipper may live to regret his post match comments after their 2-1 win over Ajax.

De Jong, who has remained on loan at the Dutch side until the end of the season after agreeing a summer move to La Liga, has warned the Spanish skipper about his actions during, and after the game.

Ramos received a late yellow card in Amsterdam, ruling him out of the second leg, and he indicated in his post-match interview that he had deliberately got himself booked to wipe clear his disciplinary record for the later rounds.

UEFA have since handed him an additional one game ban and De Jong has stated that Ramos may have made an error.

"Maybe Sergio Ramos will regret his choice – if we qualify for the quarter finals", he told Dutch newspaper AD.

Ajax face the defending champions at the Santiago Bernabeu on Tuesday March 5th.
