Real Madrid are not giving up on the La Liga title race, despite their 2-1 loss to Girona, according to midfielder Lucas Vazquez.
Santiago Solari's suffered a confidence blow as they lost their first La Liga game since the start of January, and created a seven point gap to league leaders Barcelona.
However, Vazquez told El Chiringuito TV that they would not be throwing in the towel.
"Of course there is still a league to play for.
"No one should write us off as dead, as there are many games still to play and much to be decided before the end of the season."
The Spanish international added that the squad would not be reading too much into the disappointing result against the Catalan side with games coming thick and fast for Real Madrid in the coming weeks.
"Today is an annoying day for us, but it is too soon to be placing criticism."
